Only the best materials.
We pride ourselves in using only the best materials on all our pieces. Our long and proud history building joinery has taught us to know that quality materials make all the difference.
Something that is often overlooked by other builders is the quality of hardware we use. Hinges and draw runners are vital components for our furniture pieces and its important that they last. For this reason we only use Blum hardware. Founded in 1952, they are the best and the enduring nature of their business is a testament to their quality.

A lasting legacy.
Our parent company Seavern was founded in 1948 and remains in the family to this day. Our family legacy is one of lasting quality and Joined is no exception. When you buy from us you are purchasing something truly special that is the culmination of over 85 years of joinery experience.
A legacy from our family to yours.
Seavern began in 1948 in little Alvena Street Mentone, a bayside suburb of Melbourne. The family home was across the road and business founder, Vic Lukey would stroll home to see his wife Hazel every day for lunch. Vic’s son John carried on this lunchtime tradition with his mum for almost 30 years, after taking over the business at 19, following the passing of his Dad. The business grew in size, ability, and reputation under John’s dedication, building business relationships that have stood the test of time. The need for a change of pace and additional workspace led to a relocation to Braeside in 2000. Today the Seavern family continue to create bespoke joinery alongside architects and designers. Whilst we embrace the evolution of joinery we proudly continue to honour the roots of our trade, just as we did all those years ago.
